Łódź is located in the very center of Poland, and is only an hour away from the capital. Here you can see a beautiful city with a centuries-old history. Both historic tenement houses and places of culture are very popular here. It is one of the most important places in Polish cinema. There are many murals in the city center that give this area a unique atmosphere. Various festivals and mass events are organized here.

Piotrkowska Street
One of the most famous streets in the country. The longest promenade in Europe. There we will observe various cafes, shops, museums, music clubs and gardens. fairs and festivals are held there.

Manufacture
The former textile factory has turned into one of the largest European shopping centers. There are about 260 shops, 60 different restaurants, an iMAX cinema and an entertainment and recreation center where you can play bowling, climb on the wall or learn to dance. In winter, an open-air ice rink is set up on the market square.

OFF piotrkowska
A cult meeting place. There are restaurants, cafes, architects 'and fashion designers' studios, as well as music clubs, rehearsal rooms etc. It often hosts exhibitions, concerts and film screenings.

Sports Center of the Lodz University of Technology
A sports complex open to all including an Olympic swimming pool, climbing wall, badminton courts and a gym.

Charlie Cinema
An intimate studio cinema where independent films are shown. Film festivals and meetings with filmmakers are organized there.

Old cinema
There are analogue screenings of films from the original tapes. Amazing place where you can travel back in time.

Museum of cinematography
Near our school there is a museum of the cinema which is located in the former residence of the factory owner Karol Scheibler. We can observe there priceless sets of notes, correspondence, photographs, documents and souvenirs related to the private and professional life of various directors.

Polówka festival
An annual, free summer festival of open-air films located in 14 different interesting locations in Łódź, e.g. on the roof of a shopping mall, in a boiler room in an old factory, and in parks and yards.

Light Move Festival
The largest festival of lights in Poland, during which the entire city is illuminated by hundreds of colors. In the streets, apart from the projections of lights, we can also see live theater.

Four Cultures Festival
It refers to four cultures: Polish, Jewish, German and Russian. It combines elements of theater, film, music and visual arts. Thanks to it, you can remember that Łódź is a multicultural city.
