INFORMATION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
HOW TO APPLY
International candidates should submit a completed Academy of Film Art and Design Application Form 2024. If you need help with filling out the form please download our GUIDELINES FOR APPLICANTS, contact our admissions team by phone on +48 530 700 575 (WhatsApp), or by e-mail at apply@afad.com.pl
The email should contain the following documents:
1. Application form
2. Motivation letter. This should briefly outline your reasons for studying your chosen course as well as any academic or practical experience you have gained.
3. A Portfolio of artistic work. This may include:
3a. Film and Photography:
- 10 selected photographs (Fine Art/Fashion/Reportage)
(And/Or)
- Two different series of 5 photographs which tell a story (1 Color and 1 Black and white)
(And/Or)
- A short film, of which you are either the Director, Cinematographer, Editor, or author of the Screenplay (either as a file or in the form of a link to Vimeo/YouTube etc.)
(And/Or)
- A short screenplay or storyboard
3b. Architecture (portfolio of 10 artistic works):
- to choose from: photography, drawing, own designs;
3c. Interior Design (portfolio of 10 artistic works):
- to choose from: photography, drawing, own designs;
3d. Design (portfolio of 10 artistic works):
- to choose from: drawing, designs;
A portfolio of 10 artistic work may be submitted in electronic form.
4. Proof of payment of the Application Fee (50 EUR). The Application Fee should be paid to:

WHAT NEXT?
If your application is successful, there will be a number of documents you will have to provide in order to be enrolled as a student:
- A photocopy of your Identity Card/Passport
- 3 color signed photographs for your school ID (35mm x 45mm)
- A copy of your original High School or Secondary School Diploma as well as a certified translation. Depending on which country issued your Diploma it may also need to be certified with an Apostille or Legalised in order for it to be recognised in Poland. Please see the GUIDELINES FOR APPLICANTS for more details.
- Confirmation of payment for the first year of tuition fees:
- Film and Photography: 11000 €
- Architecture, Interior Design: 7000 €
- Design: 6800 €
After this, you will be provided with a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies which you can submit with your VISA application.
